Our Special Saints
As we re-structure our school, we wanted to re-examine our classes 'inspirational people'. We decided to choose saints for the new classes.
Following discussions with our Mini Vinnies, School Council and Faith Leaders, the children carefully considered a range of saints and voted for the saints they felt would best represent each class, considering their age, interests and sacramental and curriculum links.
The new class saints will be:
- Reception/Year 1: Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
- Year 1/2: Saint Francis of Assisi
- Year 2/3: Saint Peter
- Year 4/5: Saint Vincent de Paul

Year 5/6: Saint Josephine Bakhita
Each saint offers a unique example of faith and virtue, providing inspiration for pupils throughout the year. The children will learn more about their class saint, celebrate their feast days where appropriate, and reflect on how they can follow their example in their own lives.
